Not every destination is accessible with a traditional propeller. The Evinrude Jet Series was developed specifically for navigating shallow rivers, gravel bars, rocky streams, and remote waterways where conventional lower units are more vulnerable to impact. Built on Evinrude’s proven E-TEC direct-injection platform, these jet outboards combine lightweight construction with rapid acceleration and confident low-speed control. The enclosed jet pump eliminates the exposed propeller, allowing operators to travel through shallow water with greater confidence while maintaining responsive handling. Evinrude described the Jet Series as the lightest jet outboards in their class, engineered to get on plane quickly while delivering the precise control demanded by anglers, rescue teams, and professional river operators.
